Capo Creek is excited to release another beautiful Rosé that is well balanced and loaded with fresh aromas and flavors of alpine strawberries and delicate sweet ruby red grapefruit. Our Rosé is the ultimate starter for all occasions, and is quite elegant when served in fun vintage glassware, added to spritzers, or even Rosé cocktails.
The 2021 Rosé is made using a combination of the direct press and saignee methods.
Saignee is the french term for “to bleed” and refers to the “bleeding off” of the fresh juice shortly after harvested red grapes are put into a tank, acheiving just of kiss of color from the brief contact with the grape skins. This enables production of both a delicate rose, at the same as maximzing color and richness in the original red wine.
