A Winemaker Favorite! Our 2020 Open Mic exhibits multiple layers of aromas and flavors that just don’t quit. Each sniff and sip transports you on a journey that starts with core fruit notes of black raspberry, rhubarb galette and grilled plum, to the herbal notes of fennel, olive, tea leaves and rosemary. Sweeter notes of cinnamon, cola and root beer can also be appreciated.
The Syrah and Mourvedre contribute meaty earthy notes. Getting salami or leather anyone? Most of the grapes in this blend are sourced from our estate, with the exception of the Mourvedre purchased from Starfield Vineyards. Stay tuned for the future release 2021 Open Mic which will include our first harvest of our estate Mourvedre.
Inspired by the red blends of Chateauneuf du Pape, these wines are lovingly referred to as GSMCC wines in California.
