Wine Profile
Tasting Notes
The 2021 Estate Zinfandel is a sophisticated and medium-bodied wine that boasts a captivating bouquet of luxardo cherries, complemented by delicate hints of raspberries, rosemary, dried rose petals, and black pepper. Despite the higher temperatures of Dry Creek Valley, this wine maintains the right balance of acidity making it an ideal match for a diverse range of culinary creations. Situated on the picturesque valley floor of Capo Creek Vineyards, Eva's Vineyard is home to Block Z, a mature field blend of Zinfandel vines ranging from 50-70 years old, artfully interspersed with the perfect blend of Alicante and Carignan grapes (less than 2% each). This hard-to-find field blend, combined with the sustainable vineyard practices of hand harvesting and sustainable deficit irrigation carried out by the Capo Creek Team, results in a truly memorable wine with great finesse.
Enjoy this wine with Mary's Cotswold Pierogi (or a bag of Crunchy Cheetos if you are feeling lazy) for an evening of pure deliciousness.
